‘The Zangwills’ - The Deaf Institute, Manchester September 2019

The Zangwills are a talented young band who absolutely owned the stage, on a Friday night in September at the fantastic Deaf Institute venue in Manchester. I photographed them last year when they played at Gorilla Manchester, and since then they have gone from strength to strength. They have a big following in the North and the audience at The Deaf Institute were captivated by their performance.

Give them a visit at the spotify link, or even better get to one of their future gigs, which you can find on their website or social media links below.

Bands and Gigs

I started photographing bands at Manchester gigs a few years ago.

Off The Record is a multi venue live music event and conference held in Manchester's Northern Quarter. It will run again this year on the 15th and 16th November 2018.

It's a great opportunity for up and coming artists to showcase their talents.  One such band that I saw perform live was Bang Bang Romeo (pictured). They're a fantastic band and the  lead singer, Anastasia, is awesome in both vocals and presence.

Later in the year Bang Bang Romeo supported The Slow Readers Club at a concert in Manchester Cathedral where the images on this page were shot.
